It seems there is a bit of a technology theme this week, but since Turbine is a fan of anything that increases productivity, spreads knowledge or simply just works, then it’s really not such a surprise that these should be this week’s best of the web:
- Everything Reinvented: Mobile Gaming, Landlines and the Kitchen Stove. This week saw the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, no doubt you have seen the hashtag #CES2013 all over the place. This gallery from Wired is a particularly beautiful look at what we might soon be adding to our wish-list.
- Apple Refuses to Make the Device That’s Taking Over the World. There is quite a bit of chatter about Phablets just at the moment. Some think Apple won’t join in the trend, others think they will. Fast Company wonder’s whether it’s simply a phad.
- 17 Women Startup Leaders Name Their Modern Day Heroines. An inspiring and overwhelming article. So many women, so many achievements, and all in start-ups and technology: it’s a real eye-opener.
- And finally, Monty’s Outlook. This seems to be a blog worth following. There is a combination of technology, social media and entertainment. Informative, intriguing and apparently the 54th most influential blog in the UK.
